A year ago "today", April 26th, we found out we were pregnant with sweet Charis. I was on a break from work so I stopped by the dollar store on my way home to pick up a test. Matthew was working from home that afternoon and I'm pretty sure I had already taken 3 or 4 pregnancy tests that all came back negative so he thought I was just being silly. It had been several days, so I decided to try again. We were still in a bit of disbelief at this point, but so excited. We thought we would wait another month to tell our families, but we couldn't hold it in so we ended up calling them a week later. I'm thankful I took this scrappy photo to document.
